WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan boys have finished second in every tournament they’ve entered this season.
While they’ve only seen action in three tournaments, they’ve shown consistency during a spring that has left the Broncs with limited time on the course.
“With a second place finish in all three, it’s nice to see,” head coach Larry Martoglio said after the Broncs shot a 345 in Buffalo Saturday, finishing behind a 330 from Gillette. “We’re finally getting some days in a row, and hopefully you’ll see the individual and team scores go down a little bit as the weather improves.”
Powell was third, 346, Buffalo fourth, 352, and Cody was fifth with a 355. Nine teams competed for both the boys and the girls.
Jack Mavrakis was fifth, carding a 78 Saturday and Ben Wollenzien was sixth with a 79.
On the girls side, Katie Beardslee’s 103 and Madison Farr’s 106, helped the Lady Broncs (308) to a third-place finish behind Gillette (296) and Powell (292).
Sheridan travels to Casper Friday before returning home May 13-14 to host their conference tournament at the Powder Horn.
Broncs scoring: Alex Williams 93 Tyler Hill 93 Bailey Bonnet 95 Forrest DeBolt 95 Kelby Liggett 95 Brock Gransbery 106.
