SHERIDAN — Sagebrush Community Art Center will present the work of University of Wyoming husband and wife art professors in “Affinities: Works by Leah Hardy and Mark Ritchie.”
Ritchie is an artist working between printmaking and drawing. He moves between large-scale works that are exhibited in the spirit of Asian folding screens and small-scale works that reference Near Eastern miniature traditions.
Hardy’s mixed media sculptural work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Her work has won numerous awards and been featured in books and articles. Hardy developed the metalsmithing program at the University of Wyoming in 2009. She conducts research in North India on specific traditional metalsmithing techniques.
The exhibition runs from March 8 through April 13 at the Sagebrush Community Art Center’s main gallery at the Historic Train Depot, 201 E. 5th St.
An artists’ reception will be Friday from 3-5 p.m. at the depot. The show and reception are free and open to the public.
