From Staff Reports

SHERIDAN — One Sheridan High School indoor track athlete made All-State after her performance over the weekend at the state meet.

SHS junior Shayla Christensen threw a 37-foot-11.75-inch shot put for a first-place finish in Gillette.

“It was very nice to see Shayla compete so well in the biggest meet of the indoor season,” head coach Art Baures said. “It was definitely the highlight of the state meet for our team.”

Christensen entered the season with a goal of placing second or third at state.
