SHERIDAN — The YMCA and the Wellness Council of Sheridan County present Healthy Kids Day and Safe Kids Day at the Sheridan YMCA April 27.
Events start with a pancake breakfast from 8-9 a.m. that is open to the public.
From 10-11 a.m. two events are planned, based on childrens’ ages. A YMCA Play Land scavenger hunt will be offered for ages 4-7, while a dance party will be held for ages 8 and older.
From 10 a.m. to noon there is a free swim that is open to all ages.
Interactive health and safety booths will be set up from 9 to noon featuring such activities as exercise, sports, science, arts, outdoor activities and cooking and nutrition.
Bike maintenance and helmet fitting assistance will be offered — bring your own equipment.
Attendees will be entered for chances to win prizes such as a YMCA membership.
This family event is free and open to all ages.
