SHERIDAN — One candidate hoping to be elected to political office this fall has an unusual approach to the process — he’s asking you to elect him as a write-in candidate for whatever position you see fit.
Darryl Szymanski sent out a press release Thursday afternoon making the request.
“Reluctantly and belatedly no doubt, but matters as they are with a need for more wholesome, forthright representation at all levels of government have pressed me within to do so because, to put it mildly ‘We are Fed-up in the USA’ and to some extent with our representation in Sheridan and Wyoming to say the least,” Szymanski wrote in the emailed release.
Szymanski noted he is ready to serve, but wants voters to tell him where — Sheridan City Council, Sheridan County Commission, Senate District 21, House District 29 or the U.S. House of Representatives.
In the biographical information included with the press release, Szymanski said he is an advocate for a smaller, more efficient government.
In addition, he said he has small business management, ownership and employer experience. He noted that while originally from the Midwest, he has lived in Sheridan more than three years.
