SHERIDAN — For the next event in a series of outings celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act of 1964 and the 30th anniversary of the Wyoming Wilderness Act of 1984, the Wyoming Wilderness Association will host a grizzly bear ecology tour in the Shoshone National Forest.
On Saturday, Chuck Neal, a retired U.S. Department of the Interior ecologist, will lead the group into grizzly bear country and teach the ecology and biology of the bears.
Bring a picnic lunch and plan to spend time discussing the anniversary of wilderness areas.
The walk will be approximately 5 miles roundtrip and is a steep uphill climb.
