SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County Attorney’s Office filed charges against Robert Kelly Weber, 34, of Sheridan on Friday in connection with the burglary of prescription medications from Hospital Pharmacy West in 2013.
According to the Sheridan Police Department, information received throughout the investigation implicated Weber in the theft of a large amount of prescription medications.
Weber was already incarcerated on unrelated charges at the time of the filing and is set for an initial appearance on this charge this afternoon.
Police reports from the August 2013 crime indicate that pharmacy employees came to work the morning of Aug. 30, 2013, to find the drugs had been stolen.
It appeared the thieves got into the building via the roof and ceiling of a room near the drug storage area. Police officials said the drugs had a pharmacy value of about $11,000, but indicated the street value would be higher.
The case was investigated by the Sheridan Police Department, with the assistance of the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, Northeast Drug Enforcement Team.
Weber has been charged with one count of felony burglary.
