Wear blue March 1

Re: Colon Cancer National Dress in Blue Day

In January, 2011 — I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I’m one of the millions who have been affected by this disease. Fortunately, my cancer was discovered and I was able to seek medical treatment, have surgery performed and completed many months of difficult chemotherapy treatments … for which I am most thankful. I can now say that I am a survivor.

In support of the Colon Cancer Alliance’s National Dress in Blue Day program and the National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month of March.

I’ll be wearing blue March 1 for a future free of colon cancer.

I invite everyone to join me, March 1 by dressing in blue and spreading the message that colon cancer screening saves lives.

To learn more about colon cancer, visit the CCA online at www.ccalliance.org or call their toll-free helpline at (877) 422-2030. For more information on the CCA’s fifth National Dress in Blue Day, visit www.dressinblueday.com.
