Lady Broncs pummel Gillette 3-0, head to title game

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Lady Broncs are championship bound at the 4A state soccer tournament, set to play today at 1:30 p.m.

The Sheridan High School girls earned their ticket to the title matchup by defeating Gillette 3-0 on Friday afternoon in Rock Springs.

Within the first 10 minutes of the game, Jamy Shassetz made an assist to Emily Julian. Julian scored off of a head bump then later in the first half added another goal to the Lady Broncs tally.

Marissa Johansson made the final goal unassisted in the second half.

“They played a super game,” head coach Mallery Marshall said. “The team just had an amazing effort, incredible composure and teamwork to get the job done.”

The Lady Broncs will play the winner of the Laramie vs. Cheyenne East game played last night.
