SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Broncs boys golf team finished their conference tournament in Laramie yesterday placing fifth with a 667.
Kelly Walsh put in a strong showing Tuesday, going from fourth place on Monday to winning the tournament with a 618.
Sheridan’s Jack Mavrakis finished fifth with a 150 and teammate Bailey Bonnet shot a 163.
Broncs Alex Williams and Logan Johnson shot a 170 and 184 respectively.
John Murdock IIII of Laramie won the tournament, shooting a 142.
“We finished the tournament as well as could be expected,” Sheridan golf coach Larry Martogolio said. “We beat the teams that we are capable of beating.”
With a score of 626, the Lady Broncs finished third in the tournament. Natrona won the tournament with a 501.
Kayla Allen was one stroke away from making All-Conference and placed 11th with a 193 for Sheridan.
Her teammate Katie Beardslee was right behind her with a 193, while Abbey Ressler shot a 240 and Schylar Wallace shot a 246.
“I felt the girls gained some valuable experience playing in the tournament,” Martoglio said.
