SHERIDAN — Sheridan College Generals sophomore Josh Adeyeye has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his career at NCAA Division 1 Jacksonville University (Florida) of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Adeyeye transferred in this past season from Washington Adventist (Washington, D.C.) and was an integral part of the Generals season.
“I have no doubt that Josh will have a great final two years at Jacksonville, and will have an impact on their program,” head coach Steve Smiley said. “Just as he did with ours.”
Adeyeye averaged 11.5 points per game and a team-leading 7.6 rebounds per game before a season ending leg injury in late January. Adeyeye was the third best on the team for points per game.
“We’re really excited about Josh’s signing to Jacksonville,” Smiley said. “Josh embodied everything positive about college athletics, as he was a great player, teammate, student and member in our community. Josh has had to battle through various challenges throughout his career, including his most recent setback with the leg injury, and he’s always been resilient.”
Josh is the fifth General to sign a National Letter of Intent this year, including Iakeem Alston (St. Bonaventure), Fred Dure (Arkansas State), Kaileb Rodriguez (University of Nevada-Reno) and Tate Hilgenkamp (Black Hills State University).
