SHERIDAN — The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Sheridan Workforce Center will host a Preference Act Seminar tomorrow.
The Wyoming Preference Act aims to retain public monies in the state by giving a leg up to Wyoming contractors bidding on public works projects.
The seminar will address bidding processes and information and procedural steps regarding individual contractor responsibilities for employing Wyoming residents after contracts with Wyoming governmental entities have been awarded.
The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to noon.
The free course is open to all and recommended for any contractor involved in or intending to be involved in public works projects with the state.
The meeting will be held in the conference room of the workforce center which is located at 61 S. Gould St.
