SHERIDAN — The city of Sheridan and the city landfill are hosting Trees for Trash and free landfill hours on Saturday.
Sheridan County residential customers can dispose of up to one ton of household trash per visit to the landfill and receive a free Colorado blue spruce tree sapling in exchange.
There will be a charge for car batteries, tires and refrigerators that have not been decommissioned. Household hazardous waste will not be accepted.
The tree giveaway will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the free landfill hours will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The landfill is located at 83 E. Ridge Road.
