SHERIDAN — The Sheridan-Johnson County chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society will meet Thursday at the Holiday Inn.
The free event will commence at 6 p.m. in the Le Gourmet Room.
Dinner may be ordered off the menu but is not required to attend.
Following dinner, at about 7:15 p.m., Sheridan geologist and paleontologist Georgia Knauss will give a presentation on the taxonomy and morphology of a number of water dwelling fossil species long extinct in Wyoming. Attendees not interested in the dinner portion of the evening may arrive at this time for the presentation.
All members of the public are invited to attend and reservations are not required.
