Zdziarski top placer for SHS rodeo team

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School rodeo team completed its first spring rodeo Saturday and Sunday in Laramie.

Sheridan’s top placer was Jeffery Zdziarski, who took first in bareback Sunday with a 69-point ride.

Brandt Ross in Saturday’s first go placed first in the tie-down roping with a time of 9.47 seconds and fourth on Sunday with a 11.74 second time.

Tiare Ilgen placed fifth in goat tying on Sunday with a time of 8.96 seconds.

Makenna Balkenbush placed fourth in pole bending with a time of 22.031 seconds and Shelby Mann placed eighth with a time of 22.317 seconds.

Mann placed sixth in barrel racing with a 15.879 second time.

Whitney Simmons placed seventh in the breakaway roping with a time of 3.350 and Emmy Ilgen placed eighth with a time of 3.870.

The team will compete in Rock Springs this weekend.
