SHERIDAN — The National Weather Service Office in Billings, Mont. is working with Cloud Peak Radio and Electronics Group of Sheridan to host a SKYWARN spotter training session in Sheridan on Saturday.
Volunteer severe storm spotters serve as a supplement to Doppler radar information on severe storms and the training will teach participants how to identify and report severe weather.
The training is free and open to anyone who is interested.
The session will be held at the Masonic Lodge from 1-3 p.m.
Current volunteers are welcome to attend to be updated on the latest procedures.
