Big Horn track has a good showing at Gillette

SHERIDAN — The Big Horn High School track team had a good showing at the Susan Windham Memorial Invitational track meet in Gillette Saturday.
“Bailey improved her times from last week,” head track coach Kirk McLaughlin said f Bailey Bard. “Bailey works hard at every practice and will continue to improve every week.”
Bard led the girls for Big Horn in the 200-meter dash placing second with a time of 28.08 seconds and third in the 300-meter hurdles. Robert Watson placed fourth in the boys 3,200-meter run. The relay team placed fourth in the 4×800 meter relay. Mason Lube placed third in the shot put.
“Mason Lube and Garrett Allen have shown significant improvement on the throws and continue to be impressive in the shot put,” McLaughlin said
Big Horn has two athletes who have prequalified for state this season McKenzie Greenelsh qualified in her first race in the 100-meter hurdles and Bard qualified in the 300-meter hurdles.
Big Horn’s next meet will be Friday in Spearfish, S.D.
