SHERIDAN – The Sheridan Broncs came into the weekend decimating Cheyenne South 9-0 for their first home game Friday night.
The Broncs controlled the pace of the game from start to finish. Sheridan Bronc Sophmore Goalie Zach Campbell was only challenged three times. Campbell was able to save all three attempts keeping South at 0 points.
Off of two penalty kicks, Colter Carzoli was able to score both times in the first half of the game. The Broncs went into half time ahead 5-0.
Twice, the goaltender from South dropped the ball givin Dontae Crow 2 points toward the end of the game. Lane Barten was giving a free kick as he assisted Crow with another goal. “We have been working hard on high pressure defense,” said Coach Kevin Rizer. “We want to close down as many passing lanes as possible.”
The Broncs play against the defending champions, Laramie; on their home field today with JV kicking off at 10 and varsity kicks off at noon.
