WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
DAYTON — Tongue River High School’s track team may be young this year, but coach Chuck Walters says they are ready for a successful season over the next few months.
There are only three seniors on the team, but they are expected to provide some leadership to the team. Several underclassmen with experience will also contribute, Walters noted. There are a total of 25 athletes on the team.
Returning state finishers are Austen Scammon and Micaiah Huff in hurdles, Courtney Jolovich in distance. Returning state qualifiers are Kendall Walters and Sarah Bacon in throwing, and Dillon Lyons in sprints.
“We are very excited about some young distance runners, hurdlers and the throwers that came out,” Walters said of his team.
Tongue River will compete at Buffalo on Friday and meet up in Greybull on Saturday. Tongue River will host a track meet April 11.
