WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — The Broncs topped Kelly Wash Tuesday night, earning a 1-0 win in a make-up game scheduled after last weekend’s games were canceled due to weather.
“Ultimately we played pretty well,” Broncs coach Kevin Rizer said. “We had lots of chances, so we need to work on completing those opportunities.”
In the first half of the game Colter Carzoli scored on an assist from Joe Shassetz. Rizer also noted that Jack Campbell had a real clutch save in the last two minutes of the game, preserving the Broncs’ victory. Rizer noted that the team will continue working on defense and working out all phases of the game.
“Our goal is to keep getting better,” Rizer said. “The team is learning to read the game and understand where they need to be and how to use width to create opportunities.”
The Broncs play Friday against Cheyenne South at 6 p.m. on their home field and they host the defending state champs, Laramie, on Saturday at noon.
