SHERIDAN — The Lady Broncs soccer team played a make-up game from over the weekend on Tuesday night against Kelly Wash winning 3–2.
The Lady Broncs battled the first half with Kelly Wash going into halftime with nothing on the scoreboard.
“We definitely came out flat,” coach Mallery Marshall said. “The first half was basically a wash for us. At halftime I told them we could erase the first half that it’s still 0-0 and we need to fight. We need to make some goals happen and they did that.”
With 20 minutes left to go in the second half, Jennae Fieldgrove put the first point on the scoreboard. Lady Bronc Robbi Ryan then added another before Kelly Wash put up two goals — one apiece from Kristen Franke and Ali Green. Emily Julian scored the last goal for the Lady Broncs.
“We are still working out the system,” Marshall said of the girls’ performance. “We have some great scorers on offense to score a lot but it also leaves us open to get balls over us.”
Marshall added that the Lady Broncs will play at Cheyenne South on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday will head to Laramie for a noon game.
“This weekend will be tough but we will reset and gain some players that will help our numbers and keep our legs refresh to keep a good fight,” Marshall said.
