SHERIDAN — The Broncs soccer team tested out a new system of offense Friday night on their Riverton opponent and it seemed to work as the Sheridan High School team came out with a 3-1 win.
“It was good to get out and get a game in and have to test an opponent,” Broncs coach Kevin Rizer said after the game.
He noted that there is still learning to be done under the new system, but the boys played well.
Broncs Dontae Crow, Joe Shassetz and Evan Coon each scored a goal and Crow also had two assists.
“The boys really tried to do what we asked them to do; they played their tails off,” Rizer said.
Rizer also said the one goal scored by Riverton was one that nobody could have stopped and credited his sophomore goalie, Zach Campbell with a good game.
The Broncs will face Natrona, Evanston and Kelly Walsh today in Casper.
