Darlene A. Johnson, 83, of Ranchester, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Darlene was born on November 20, 1929 to Verl and Bertha (Dale) Allred in Salt Lake City, UT. She married James C. Johnson on October 16, 1948. They moved to Wyoming and lived in Rozet and Sheridan. In 1961, they bought their family home in Ranchester, WY, where they were joined by their children. Darlene liked cooking, fishing, elk hunting with her husband, traveling, crocheting, gardening, canning food and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Mormon Church. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband James C. Johnson thirteen years ago. She is survived by her children, Carla (Bill) Perry of Sheridan, WY, Connie (Robert) Brooks of Parkman, WY and Michael Johnson of Sheridan, WY. One sister Naomi Roll of Salt Lake City, UT, her eight grandchildren, Robert L. Brooks Jr., Tonya Motherhead, Tammy Brooks, Travis Brooks, Kathy Owen, Coy Perry, Alyssa Johnson and Brandon Johnson and seven great grandchildren. Private family services are being held.
