SHERIDAN — A Sheridan man pleaded not guilty to one felony count of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree in 4th Judicial District Court Thursday morning.
Clinton Granger, 37, was arrested Feb. 10 after a female approached authorities and gave details of being molested by Granger approximately four years ago.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney Darci Phillips, Granger acknowledged he had committed the inappropriate acts on approximately five different occasions over a six-month period that began in December 2008.
Sheridan County Circuit Court Judge Shelley Cundiff set Granger’s bond at $100,000 cash, and that amount was continued by Judge John Fenn when the case was bound over to district court.
Fenn scheduled a pretrial conference for Aug. 10 and a two-day jury trial Aug. 20.
The charge of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree carries with it a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.
