Donna Jurosek, 80, of Big Horn, WY, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at Northridge Medical Center in Northridge, California. Donna was born on August 22, 1932 in Fort Worth, TX to Floyd and Velma Noblett. Donna graduated from Scottsdale High School in 1950. She was primarily raised in Scottsdale, AZ, living with her mother and stepfather, Dick Griffith. Dick was a world champion bull rider and trick rider and Donna travelled around the country with them to various rodeos and other shows. She loved working with horses and helped exercise and work with the horses Dick used in his trick riding show. Donna married Gerald Dempsey Cain in 1956 and the two had a son, Jack. Following their divorce, Donna moved to Sheridan in the late 1950’s and worked as a waitress at the Sheridan Inn. She met Michael Jurosek there and the two were married on June 10, 1962. Mike and Donna owned several businesses in Sheridan, including The Trail Bar, The Sheridan Inn and The Ten Pin Lounge and Seafood. Additionally the two of them had a ranch in Big Horn where they raised cows and horses along with sheep, ducks and milk cows at various points in time. Donna was a hard working partner to Mike in all their various endeavors, doing everything from tending bar to feeding cows and assisting in the late night delivery of a newborn calf. She also enjoyed taking art, drawing and stained glass classes at Sheridan College. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In the last two years she had been residing with her daughter, Marcia in Encino, California. She enjoyed California, but always hoped to be able to get back to Sheridan where she loved the people and the surroundings. Donna always enjoyed finding a treasure at garage sales and especially loved going to the racetrack to watch the ponies run. Donna was a member of The Elks, Mountain Eagles, Moose, the Big Horn Women’s Club and the American Legion. Donna is survived by her son, Jack Cain of Torrington, WY and her daughter, Marcia Lukas, of Encino, CA, along with four grandchildren, Nicole and Kristin Cain of Torrington, WY and Zachary and Abigail Lukas of Encino, CA. Donna also has one great grandchild, Raylie Lynn McGuire of Torrington, WY. Donna is also survived by her two sisters, Robin Green of Albuquerque, NM and Mitzi Steinmann of Gilbert, AZ.
