SHERIDAN — The Big Horn Rams are out of the 2A State Championship tournament after a 10-point loss to the Big Piney Punchers Friday afternoon. The Punchers racked up 65 points while the Rams trailed at 55.
Rams Coach Ryan Alley said he’s proud of his team, as the game was close.
“It was a tough game for us,” he said. “We didn’t make the final shots we needed to.”
Alley described the game as a “battle throughout.”
“I wish for the kids we could have had a better result,” he admitted.
Senior Colter Carzoli led scoring with 24 points, followed by Deven Ibach with
12 and Connor McCafferty, 10.
Alley indicated he’s looking forward to next year, when the Rams will be returning with two starters.
“We’ll be relying on sophomores next year to fill in spots and play defense,” he said. ” I feel confident they can step up there.”
