WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — Tongue River High School alumna Bethany Yellowtail, a fashion designer, stylist and motivational speaker from the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Tribe, has partnered with acclaimed photographer Matika Wilbur to assist in fundraising efforts for Project562.
Project562 is an initiative by Wilbur to change the way Americans see Native America by photographing citizens of every tribe in the United States.
Yellowtail has transformed select images from Wilbur’s collection into textile prints and limited edition couture pieces that will serve as gifts to contributors of Project562.
To date, the initiative has raised just over $50,000 of its $54,000 goal which needs to be received in pledges by Feb. 20 to receive additional funding.
