SHERIDAN — The national Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a rally for its Wyoming volunteers and the general public on Feb. 15.
The event will take place at the Historic Plains Hotel at Central Avenue and Lincolnway in Cheyenne.
Participants will be treated to a complimentary breakfast, lunch, give-aways and door prizes.
There will also be a support group offered during the event so caregivers, their loved ones, and volunteers from throughout the state are encouraged to attend.
Agenda topics will include the Alzheimer’s epidemic in Wyoming, the latest research findings, services and support the association offers, public policy and special events in local communities and the association’s future plans for the state. Attendees are asked to RSVP by Monday to Glenda Berry at email@example.com or to Anne Aquin at 550-3618.
The disease affects 10,000 people in Wyoming.
