SHERIDAN — Riley Ryan scored a career-high 25 points during Black Hills State’s 84-76 win over Colorado State-Pueblo Saturday.
Ryan, a 2011 graduate of Sheridan High School, has come on strong in his second season with the Yellow Jackets, averaging 8.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from the field.
He added nine rebounds in the win on Saturday, and his average is up from 3.2 ppg as a freshman last year.
Over the last four games, Ryan has scored 25, 14, 11 and nine points and the Yellow Jackets are 3-1 during that stretch.
Black Hills State (6-7, 8-9 overall) has eight games remaining in its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference season, beginning Friday at Regis, Colo.
