BIG HORN — The Big Horn Rams (6-7) took down the Kaycee Buckaroos (7-5) Saturday afternoon.
An early lead in the first (22-10) and a strong showing in the third carried them through a tied fourth quarter to a final score of 62-48.
Colter Carzoli and Deven Ibach led the team in points and rebounds with Carzoli scoring 19 and claiming nine rebounds and Ibach putting up 11 points and bringing down 10 rebounds.
“Tonight I was proud of the way we came out early,” head coach Ryan Alley said. “We played a pretty good defensive first quarter then in the second we had a little bit of a let down, but overall the kids played hard and coming off the conference game Friday it was nice to win this one.”
The Lady Rams (6-7) also beat Kaycee (5-6) with a final score of 67-36. Both Rams teams will travel to Wright on Friday.
The Tongue River Lady Eagles (10-2) beat the Riverside Rebels (0-11) Saturday 65-10.
Nine girls on the roster saw playing time and every player contributed points to the final score.
Amanda Buller lead the team with 14 and Eryn Aksamit was close behind with 13.
Allison Reed claimed eight rebounds for the team and Sarah Rawlings had seven assists.
“Riverside is very young and inexperienced team who start three freshmen,” head coach Diane Moser said. “Another major test for us will be this Saturday against Lovell.”
The Eagles (3-9) also beat Riverside (1-10) Saturday by a final score of 58-47.
Both Eagles and Lady Eagles will face Moorcroft Friday and Lovell on Saturday at home.
