SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library will host two events on Thursday as part of the Smithsonian Institution’s “Key Ingredients” exhibit on display now through Jan. 14 at the library.
From 11 a.m. to noon there will be an edible book contest along with music by the Sheridan High School show choir “Spectrum.”
Members of the community are invited to submit any entry that is in some way related to books and is edible.
Winners will be chosen according to audience reaction, so bring supporters.
First- and second-place prizes will be awarded and Spectrum will perform prior to judging of the entries.
From 7-8:30 p.m. there will be a panel discussion titled “Food-ways of Sheridan.”
The discussion will be moderated by David Romtvedt and will feature local experts on food in Sheridan.
Everyone is welcome to this free event.
Both events will be held in the Inner Circle in the library, which is located at 335 West Alger St.
For more information contact Kevin Knapp at 674-8585 extension 29.
