SHERIDAN — Fourteen Sheridan County athletes made 2013 Wyoming Coaches Association All-State lists, which were announced late Saturday night.
For Sheridan, Daniel Sessions was a unanimous selection at running back after his 1,111-yard, 16-touchdown season in the Broncs backfield, also catching three passes for scores this year.
Nick Gill was selected at wide receiver and was also the class 4A All-State return specialist after returning two kickoffs and a punt for a touchdown this year. Selections were all seniors for Sheridan with Justin Orum, Tyler Julian from the Broncs offensive line, and Judson White off the D-line. Broncs leader Ethan Hall was selected at linebacker.
Big Horn senior quarterback Connor McCafferty was selected as 2A Offensive Player of the Year, and the 2A champs had six other selections, the most out of the conference. Seniors Colter Carzoli (RB/LB) and Miles Novak (OL/DL) along with juniors Mason Lube (DL), Ryan Kobielusz (WR/DB), Seth Kite (WR/DB) and Christian Mayer (WR/DB).
Tongue River had one selection in team defensive points leader, senior Tyler Kane. Kane was 11th in 2A defensive points, recovering two fumbles, with three tackles for loss and a sack this season.
All-State players are selected from All-Conference lists, and the Broncs other 4A All-Conference players were: junior Joe Shassetz (WR/DB), senior Kameron Eckard (QB), junior Colbey Bruney (RB/LB), seniors Cody Delk (DL) and Ethan Hoopes (LB). Hoopes went down with an injury in the Broncs week 6 loss to Natrona, but remained near the top of 4A defensive points standings.
2A All-Conference selections for Big Horn included senior Kris Johnson. Tongue River’s Pierce Jardine, Matt Burchell and Lane Dockery were also 2A All-Conference.
On Friday, the Casper Star-Tribune released its annual Super 25 list, with Sessions and McCafferty both honored. McCafferty finished the year with 32 touchdown passes and two interceptions, running for 11 scores while amassing 2,383 all-purpose yards in 2013.
Additionally, Big Horn senior defensive lineman Michael Lamb was given the Paul Westika Courage Award.

2nd team 4A All-Conference: Tory Music OL/DL; Cody Delk OL; Dane Chambers OL/DL; Jess Edens Punter; Nick Gill DB; Cooper Powers DL.
2nd team 2A All-Conference: Armando Zuniga (DL), Garrett Allen (DL), Kaleb Rosselott (LB), and Deven Ibach (TE/LB).
