Sheila Flynn to discuss dolphin

fossil on Wednesday

 

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College Museum of Discovery science lecture series will host Sheila Flynn on Wednesday.

Flynn will discuss the paleopathology in a 10-12 million year old dolphin found on San Clemente Island, Calif.

The presentation will take place in the Sheridan College Science Museum Mohns Center at 7 p.m.

It is free and open to the general public.

Flynn graduated from Sheridan College in 1994 with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene.

She discovered and examined the fossil in 2004 and will present her findings of indications of periodontal disease, a study believed to be the first to document dental calculus and periodontal disease in a tooth whale fossil.

“The Rivals” performance at the WYO Theater Thursday, Friday, Saturday

 

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College Theater Department will present the No Frills Theater Company in “The Rivals” Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s restoration comedy about Captain Jack Absolute has been thrilling audiences since 1775.

This performance is directed by Doug Sheehan and will take place at the WYO Theater, 42 N. Main St.

Performances on Nov. 14 and 15 begin at 7 p.m. and Nov. 16 will offer performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, military and students.

Kip Attaway to perform at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Friday

 

SHERIDAN — Cowboy comedian Kip Attaway will perform at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles #4169 on Friday.

An Indian taco dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. for $6.

Attaway’s performance will follow from 7:30-10 p.m. for $10.

The Eagles club is located at 1760 Commercial Lane.
