SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will present “Live from The Met: Puccini’s ‘Tosca’” on Nov. 9 at 11 a.m.
The performance is part of the series “The Metropolitan Opera: Live in High-Definition” which transmits opera performances to movie theaters and other venues around the world as part of The Metropolitan Opera’s efforts to reinvigorate opera and reach out to a broader public.
The program allows audiences to experience the production at the same time as the audience in New York.
“Tosca” stars Patricia Racette in the title role of a jealous diva opposite Roberto Alagna as her lover, Cavaradossi.
It is a co-production of the Metropolitan Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Teatro all Scala.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for students.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.wyotheater.com, on the phone at 672-9084 extension 100 or in person at the box office, which is located inside the theater at 42 N. Main St.
