An Acoustic Evening with Aaron Tippin Thursday
SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will present an acoustic evening with Aaron Tippin on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The show was originally scheduled for Aug. 11 and was rescheduled due to travel delays.
Tippin is a singer songwriter whose most recent album focused on country music that salutes America’s truck drivers.
Tippin is also a pilot, farmer, winemaker, outdoorsman and family man who runs his own record label, NIPPET Records.
Tickets are $42 for prime seating, $34 for reserved seating and $20 for student’s reserved seating.

Thrive vs. Survive
focus group to meet Thursday
SHERIDAN — The Center for a Vital Community at The Sheridan College will host Action Forum 2.0 on Thursday.
This meeting will provide an update and call to action on the initiatives from Thrive vs. Survive, a community conversation on poverty.
Study circles on poverty were held over the course of five weeks with 140 participants and seven initiatives were developed from the community conversations.
The meeting will be held at the YMCA, 417 N. Jefferson St., at 6:30 p.m.

Senior Center veterans tribute this month
SHERIDAN — The senior center will pay tribute to the community veterans from now through Nov. 21 with a display in the lobby.
The community is invited to view tributes to those who have served beginning in World War II including interviews from more than 120 veterans in the community.
The senior center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
It is located at 211 Smith St.
