SHERIDAN — The Lady Rams volleyball team escaped a five-set first round game Thursday at the 2A State Volleyball Tournament in Casper.
Big Horn defeated Wind River after dropping the first two sets 19-25, 19-25. They came back, winning 25-13, 25-14 and 15-8.
The Lady Rams now play a Friday 4:30 p.m. state semifinal game against the team that ended their state title hopes in 2012. 2A defending champion Lovell defeated Southeast in straight sets Thursday, and will now play Big Horn.
In the nightcap Thursday, the Lady Eagles fell to No. 1 seed from the West, Kemmerer (25-21, 25-17, 25-23). The Lady Eagles a No. 4 seed, will play No. 2 seed Wright at 2:30 p.m. Friday in a loser-out consolation game.
