SHERIDAN — Tongue River Lady Eagles volleyball was on the road to Sundance Friday. They lost to Sundance in four sets (17-25, 21-25, 25-11, 19-25), leaving them 3-5 on their conference record.
Head Coach Michelle Nielsen said a lot of good things happened on the court, but they just couldn’t put it together for the win.
“We came out slow,” Nielsen said. “They kicked it into gear and were ready to play well in the third set.”
As with any game, there were highlights.
Kortni Sharp and Tara Stimpson each had 9 kills.
Cheyloh Bluemel served 16 out of 18, and Allison Reed served 10 out of 10 and had 13 assists.
Nielsen said the team will work on its defense this week.
“It just has to be quicker. We have to work on our anticipation more,” Nielsen said.
The Lady Eagles play Riverside High School at 1 and 2 p.m. today in Basin.
