SHERIDAN — Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library will be hosting a film series titled “Reel Ingredients” that looks at the connection between food and culture.
The films will be Oct. 14, Oct. 21, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Inner Circle at Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.
Dinner will be provided during each film and each will be followed by a discussion moderated by David Romtvedt.
Romtvedt teaches in the Masters of Fine Arts program at the University of Wyoming and was the Wyoming Poet Laureate from 2003 to 2011.
He has designed a number of food courses and is currently teaching an arts centered food course with readings that focus on poetry, novels and essays in which food plays a central role.
These films will lead up to the “Key Ingredients: America by Food” exhibit that will be coming to the library Nov. 21.
Key Ingredients explores the deep interconnections between local food sources and American culture.
