MDU: repairs done by Sunday afternoon

SHERIDAN — Montana-Dakota Utilities estimates about 900 Sheridan residents were still without power as of 7 a.m. Saturday. MDU Spokesman Tony Spilde said all major circuits are on and energized, but there were about 324 locations crews still needed to visit and repair.  Spilde said all repairs are expected to be complete by Sunday afternoon.

MDU crews and third-party contractors have been working around the clock to restore power to areas of Sheridan after a fall snow storm dumped six to 11 inches of snow in Sheridan. Because the leaves had not yet fallen from the trees, the weight of the snow caused multiple tree branches to snap and fall, causing destruction power lines as well as houses and vehicles.
