WEATHER FROM OUR SPONSORS
SHERIDAN — The annual Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty walk will be Sunday.
To participate in the CROP walk, meet at the First Christian Church gazebo at 102 S. Connor St. at 2 p.m.
The group will walk through Sheridan to raise money for world hunger projects through Church World Service.
The route will go through public places in downtown Sheridan, such as Whitney Commons and Kendrick Park.
Along the way, the group will ask people they meet to make an offering to the CROP cause. People will also be invited to join the walk if they wish.
The walk will take approximately an hour. Make sure to dress appropriately for Sunday’s weather.
After the walk the band Girls Like Us…and the Boys will perform at the First Christian Church.
If you would like to make a donation in support of the CROP walk, checks can be made to CROP/Church World Service and sent to First Christian Church, 102 S. Connor St., Sheridan, WY 82801.
Through the CWS program, four cents a day can keep a child alive on micronutrients.
