SHERIDAN — Arch Coal Foundation has kicked off its annual teacher recognition program, the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards.
Award recipients each receive a $3,500 personal cash award.
The public nominates teachers and a blue-ribbon panel of past recipients will judge the applications.
Nomination forms are available at local schools and libraries and at Taco John’s.
Nominations can also be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure to include the teacher’s name and school. Nominations close Jan. 6, 2014.
