SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School swimming and diving team trailed Campbell County High School 52 to 132 in team points Friday night.
The Lady Broncs did place high in several events, including the team’s 200-yard medley relay squad of Emily Spiegelberg, Mackenzie Dougherty, Gretchen Dougherty and Payton Brilz. The girls placed second with a time of 1:59.71 in the finals, less than a second behind Campbell County’s winning time of 1:59.09.
The same relay team took thrid in the 400 freestyle.
Gretchen Dougherty also placed third in the 200 freestyle while Brilz finished second in the 200 individual medley.
Brilz also finished first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:51.03.
Mackenzie Dougherty took first in the 50 freestyle at 27.38 seconds and Spiegelberg took third in that event with a time of 27.74. Mackenzie Dougherty also took third in the 100 breaststroke.
Junior Cassandra Robinson took third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:12.29 in the finals.
Sophomore Sara VonKrosigk took second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 177.1.
