Dayton OKs a minor subdivision

DAYTON — Dayton Town Council kept it short and simple at its regular meeting Wednesday.

The Council approved a minor subdivision that was recommended for approval by the Dayton Planning Committee Aug. 28 and read a proclamation for Constitution Week.

The minor subdivision was a parcel of land belonging to Tim Garrett that stretches from West Second to West Third Avenue. It includes one residence located on West Second Avenue and will be split into two lots so that a portion of the parcel can be sold, Town Clerk Linda Lofgren said.

In order for Garrett to sell a portion of his land, he had to subdivide it and obtain an engineer’s plat, Lofgren said.

The Council approved both the preliminary and final plat for the subdivision.

Mayor Bob Wood and Councilman Bob Alley are attending the Wyoming Association of Municipalities fall meeting in Buffalo today.
