SHS tennis rained out in Cheyenne after partial games

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School tennis team’s day of non-conference matches was shortened by rainstorms Friday.

The boys got their match in with Cheyenne Central while the girls’ game were cut short. Both teams had to cancel their matches with Cheyenne East. They will not be rescheduled.

Boys (best of 10)
Singles
No. 1 Reed Ritterbusch defeated Seth Means 10-3
No. 2 Adam Berry defeated Chase Anderson up 9-0, Anderson (defaulted 10th).
Doubles
No. 1 Logan Garstad and Turner lost to Morgan Gray and Aaron Kelly 10-2
No. 2 Lachlan Brennan and Tristan Gamble lost to Logan Havens and Mark Meghini 11-9 (down 8-5, tied a 8-8 before falling).
No. 3 Robert Meixsell an Sam Sanders lost to Sam Burron and Ray Burron 10-6.
Final: Central 3, SHS 2

Girls
Singles
No. 1 (only game to finish) Julia Fenn defeated Tristan Kray 10-0.
No. 2 Katelynn Brooks trailed Kali True 4-5 before rain out.
Doubles
No. 1 Hannah Maixner Analee trailing Bailey Jessica Morrow Nikki Stratton 3-4
No. 2 Gina Romanjenko and Sam Hamilton tied with Rachel Phillips and Taylor Swindell-Kray 0-0.
No. 3 Belen Espada Vioque and Jillian Stalker were trailing Jazzea Olsen and Shannon Humphrie 1-2.
There will be a SHS JV tournament today on the high school and Thorne-Rider courts.
