SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School girls volleyball team fell in straight sets Tuesday in Gillette. The Camels won 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.
“It’s always hard playing Gillette right out of the gates, early in the season, as a conference match, but I’m proud of the effort the girls put up,” head coach Wendi Ruby said. “They played against a good volleyball team, and we made a few errors on our side of the net that cost us points.”
“We need to find a way to keep the momentum on our side of the net, and make more than a 1-2 point run at times,” she added. “We are going to continue to work on these things at practice, and keep improving each day. I really like the chemistry and team attitude these girls have, and am excited to keep watching them get better.”
The Lady Broncs (0-1 in 4A East, 2-4 overall) will play in the Gillette Invite Friday.
