SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College men’s soccer team led 2-1 at halftime, but fell 6-2 in Billings Wednesday afternoon.
Head coach Austin Albers said they had “one good half and one bad half” in the exhibition loss to Montana State University-Billings.
Forward Tanner Alseike (Douglas) scored in the third minute, giving Sheridan the early lead. MSU-B would equalize with a header before Sheridan midfielder Hunter Reece stepped into a free kick and “absolutely laced it” into the upper corner from 25 yards, Albers explained.
The Generals would surrender five goals in the second half as they didn’t respond well to MSU-B’s pressure, Albers said.
Sheridan plays at Dakota Wesleyan’s junior varsity in their final exhibition game Sunday. They travel to Powell for their Region IX opener against Northwest Sept. 11.
