James Richard Hedderman, 89, of Sheridan passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the VA Medical Center.
Jim was born to Ursula (Mooney) and Raymond Hedderman in Cleveland, Ohio on July 17, 1923 and held American and Irish citizenships. He was graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and from John Carroll University in Cleveland. He has resided in Sheridan, WY since 1959. He was a life member of the American Legion and also of the DAV. As a U.S. Navy sailor in WWII, he saw service in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and South Pacific theaters of war.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill, Dick and Neil, and a sister, Mary Ellen. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Auble), whom he married in 1947. Other survivors include his children, Mike, Pat, Kevin, Tim, Janet and Terry, his siblings, Howard, John, Tom, George, Terry and Alice, 12 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Shea officiating.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Shea Officiating.
Additional Services with the traditional Latin Funeral Mass will be held in Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, OH with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
