SHERIDAN — Wyoming’s unemployment rate held steady last month at 4.6 percent. The Research and Planning section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services reported the seasonally adjusted rate is down 0.9 percent from last year.
Overall, the state gained 4,600 jobs over the course of the year.
Within Sheridan County, 769 people claimed unemployment benefits, which is down from 831 in June. Sheridan’s overall rate is 4.8 percent.
The national unemployment rate is 7.4 percent.
