SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College men’s soccer team fell 4-0 to top 20 NAIA team Rocky Mountain College in Montana Thursday night.
Coach Austin Albers said Friday morning that his team played well, but had a few missteps early in the game.
“I’d say we played well for most of the game, probably about 70 of the 90 minutes,” Albers said. “They had a couple of very, very good players that got behind us a couple times.”
Albers added that his team will work on defensive organization and developing possession with a purpose as the players move up the field.
There were some standouts in Thursday’s match.
“Hunter Reece was one of the best players on the field for either team,” Albers said. “He did a great job pressuring the ball and getting us some good offensive looks as well.”
In addition, Albers said Scott Brown and Corbin Shriner did well in the back field.
The Generals will have their first home matchup Wednesday in an exhibition game against Midwest Elite. The game is set to start at 4 p.m.
