Kindness of strangers

Re: Medical personnel
The people of Sheridan are fortunate to live in a very caring community with a great health care system in place.
My husband collapsed at the rest area in Sheridan during rodeo week. Every person who helped me was so kind starting with the women who work at the Chamber of Commerce. They called 911 and helped me lay him down on the floor.
The EMT’s who came to transport him were reassuring. Thank you to the fireman from Sumner. You gave me a connection to home and helped me gain control. The emergency staff was fantastic. They even helped me find a room during busy rodeo week.
All the doctors who took care of him were especially caring and capable. A special thanks to Dr. Mangus who was available night and day as needed. All the nurses and aides who cared for him were special angels placed in our path. Your hospital has a fantastic family-friendly policy allowing me to stay with my husband.
I want to thank all the wonderful people of Sheridan who donate lifesaving blood. When someone you love needs that blood you realize on a personal level just what a gift it is.
Sheridan will always have a special place in my heart. I am so grateful that there are such wonderful health care people in your community — doctors, RNs and all the other hospital employees who generously gave of themselves to provide excellent care to my husband.
I will be eternally grateful to all the people in Sheridan who helped us through a very frightening situation 1,200 miles from home.
Thank you, Sheridan, for your kindness.
